April 21-22--First Annual Trykes N Tread Car show --hosted by: Mountain Metro AMBUCS--featuring SW Oklahoma Vertically Challenged Car Club--Mountain Metro AMBUCS is a non-profit organization that specializes in helping create mobility for those with disabilities. In the past, the Sweet Temptationz hosted the "Spring Bash" in Lawton Oklahoma at the Great Plains Coliseum with a lot of success. The city of Lawton misses that big car show and we are looking to bring a HUGE Car show back to Lawton. This will be a fundraising show to help the Mountain Metro AMBUCS provide AmTrykes, Ramps, Scholarships to Therapists, and other wonderful things in the community. Have you ever heard of an AmTryke? Well, in case you haven't, an AmTryke is a very unique tricycle designed to help riders improve their motor skills, endurance and strength. For children, it is fun to ride and offers the opportunity for inclusive play. For adults, AmTrykes provide a new form of mobility, exercise, and freedom to explore the community. We will be painting and making a custom "AmTryke" to give away to a person in need at chosen from our community at this event. My mission in having this car show, is to have a large turn out at a very sizeable venue, be able to have an annual event that every one looks forward to every year, and help raise the funds needed to provide AmTrykes, Ramps, scholarships and help our community. We want to bring a large indoor/outdoor show that everyone will be able to enjoy. We have reserved the Great Plains Coliseum for this event
***April 27-29--19th Annual Slamsession...Welcome to G-Vegas --presented by: Animated Attractions (NC's Longest Running Car & Truck Club). Location: Pitt County Fairgrounds, Greenville, NC. This is the longest running Modern Custom show in North Carolina with this year being the 19th annual. This year we are bringing something new to the table by opening up "Casino Night" on Saturday night. Casino Night is a total Charity event with chip winners playing for vendor gift cards. This will be the time to come in and play whatever game fits you and hang out with friends and listen to some good music. Its gonna be a feel good time, even if you aren't playing. Just a good time to hang out. And what goes along with a Vegas style show...bright floresent neons. So we are gonna have a neon.LED light show right outside the nighttime activities. Friday we will be opening registration at noon and it will go all the way through the night...as it has almost every year we have put this show on. Saturday is the time to shine up those rides and get ready for the judges. It is also a great time to bring your kids out to enjoy the activities.
